ザクロ種子に含まれる希少脂肪酸オメガ 5 “プニカ酸”
プニカ酸は 1935 年に日本の科学者によりザクロ種子から発見された共役リノレン酸というオメガ 5 の脂肪酸です。
プニカ酸の「プニカ」はラテン語で「ザクロ」のことを意味し、ザクロ種子やカラスウリなど限られた植物種子にしか含まれていません。
このプニカ酸は、抗酸化及び抗炎症効果が高く肌のハリやうるおいに効果が高いと言われています。
